Fernando Curiel
Fernando Curiel graduated with a dual major from Berklee College of Music (2004) and has since performed in venues such as American Airlines Arena with giants Maná, recorded in legendary studios such as EastWest Studios in Hollywood, CA (Frank Sinatra, The Beach Boys), sharing sessions with the likes of Paul Reed Smith (founder of PRS Guitars), Salo Loyo & Lalo Carrillo (keyboard & bass players in Luis Miguel's band), Sergio Vallín (Maná) and Horacio "El Negro" Hernández (iconic cuban drummer), worked as an Audio Engineer recording the likes of Pablo Alborán, Maná, Sergio Vallín, been Front of House for the Montreal Chamber Music Festival, toured with and recorded Sharon Corr (The Corrs), played with symphony orchestra Filarmonía de Madrid and served for over 15 years as a music journalist managing and producing content for international publications such as Músico Pro and Recording Magazine, as well as music manufacturers such as Solid State Logic, Universal Audio, iZotope and Shure.
As a music journalist he has interviewed a great many professionals in the music industry, artists as diverse as Gloria and Emilio Estefan, Phil Collins, Aerosmith, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Juan Luis Guerra, Juanes, Alejandro Sanz, Julieta Venegas, Camila, Café Tacvba, Carlos Vives, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Jon Secada, Andrea Bocelli, Iron Maiden, Dream Theater, Korn, Disturbed, Mudvayne, Megadeth, Incubus, My Chemical Romance, The Mars Volta, Mike Stern, Kenny G, George Duke, Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, Hiromi, Michel Camilo, Nathan East, Les Claypool, Victor Wooten, Mr. Big, Goo Goo Dolls, Robby Krieger of The Doors, John "JR" Robinson, Geoff Emerick, Bob Ludwig, Rafa Sardina, Manny Marroquin, Benny Faccone, Paul Oakenfold, Hernán Cattaneo, Grandmaster Flash, BT, Chayanne, Extreme, Rob Zombie, Gary Moore, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Eric Johnson, Yngwie Malmsteen, John McLaughlin, Jason Becker, Maná, Brian Wilson (The Beach Boys) and George Benson among many others.
He has also worked with the Billboard’s Editor of Latin Content Leila Cobo on producing articles for American Airlines’ Nexos Magazine.
Fernando is also an active voting member of The Latin Recording Academy® where he serves as a judge to determine the winners of the Latin GRAMMY®s in the categories of Rock, Pop and Alternative.
As co-founder of GuitarCello, Fernando is fully invested in reaching audiences everywhere with the intent of journeying the depths of human expression through the exploration of songs that have resonated with us throughout the years.
Antonio Martín Acevedo
Following the First Prize at the Virtuoso International Competition in London, Antonio Martín Acevedo has carried out a career with international projection playing in legendary venues such as the Royal Albert Hall (London), National Music Auditorium, Royal Theater of Madrid, Palace of Arts of Budapest, Santa Cecilia di Roma Academy, and Salle Pleyel de Paris.
Since 2011 he has been a cello soloist for the Madrid Symphony Orchestra, holder of the Teatro Real de Madrid, position which he combines with an active concert career.
He has also recorded for Spanish Television, RNE Classical Radio, Bayerischer Rundfunk, Catalunya Radio and Polish Radio.
He began his musical studies at the age of seven with Fanica Sandu, Leonardo Ribeiro and Judit Faller at the Municipal School of Music of Tres Cantos.
He studied cello at the Reina Sofia School of Music of Madrid with Professor Natalia Shakhovskaya. Upon graduation, he received his diploma personally from the hand of His Majesty Queen Sofia and was named Best Student of the Year and twice in a row Best Chamber Group with his Cervantes Trio, along with his brother Pablo Martín (violin) and Denis Kozhukhin (piano).
International Chamber Music Institute of Madrid with Professor Ralf Gothóni. During this period he received valuable advice from Ferenc Rados, David Geringas, Menahem Pressler, Cristopher Coin and Jordi Savall.
The Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid, obtained its higher degree of cello graduating from 2009-2011 making enrollment increase in two years of the four courses.
